I was wracking my brain on the ride home, trying to figure out what I would exactly blog about today for Nablopomo. I mean, seriously, who wants to hear about my day? I am not even sure I really want to hear about my day and I lived it.
So, the mind drifted to sports, as it often does and I found myself on WFAN out of New York, one of the classic sports talk stations in the country. I tuned in just in time to hear a commercial for Bill O'Reilly's so called TV show, the O'Reilly Factor.
Quick Disclaimer, I hate O'Reilly and all that the so called news channel Fox News stands for *hops off soapbox*
So, here is a Papa Bear on the radio, talking about tonights show. The first segment will be about the Jena 6 and the money raised for there defense that may or may not be missing. During this commercial, which surely can not be live, O'Reilly states that 6 boys/men were arrested and jailed in Arkansas. Now, lets see what is wrong with that last sentence, wait for it, wait for it.

The games today have been awful. Boring, dull, sluggish, boring. Though they have been picking up some in the 2nd half, I do not think that the Chiefs/Broncos game is going to be really anything to write home about. And please, the Vikings are so bad that to watch Favre shred them for over 300 yards, while inspiring, it is also poor football to watch.
And I just can not bring myself to watch all of the Eagles game. Not only are they just now finally getting a spark, but sheesh, they have let Jason Campbell throw all over them, yes I said Jason Campbell.
Now the real problem is that it costs me four payments of $39.95 to watch this schlock. I do know what I will be doing on my day off tomorrow, finding out how I can reduce the darned payments on my DirecTV, because if I am stuck with bad NFL, I am not about to pay for HBO as well, which shows the same 5 movies.
Yes, I know, life really isnt that difficult, but with the Nablopomo, I gotta come up with something.

Its back to the idea that I may be in fact addicted to TiVo. Because now that I am forced to watch these TV Commercials, it is a tad painful.
The one grating on my nerves, beyond the newest Viagara one, is the Totinos Pizza Roll commercial. It may be made by the same people that did the Ovaltine commercials as well. How many times have you eaten a Totinos Pizza Roll, or any pizza roll for that fact, or in fact most frozen pizzas that you scream at the top of your lungs "I LOVE TOTINOS PIZZA ROLLS!" How high do we think this kid maybe? I guess not to high since he knew to say the name Totinos.
Ok, I am sort of inspired by It's Me Maven, who is a fellow blogathon buddy. But, going off the cartoon tangent, Mrs Duck and I were watching the news on Wednesday and we saw this creepy creepy commercial.
Not Only is 6:30 way to early to be even talking about Viagra, but this song has such a catchy toon, that kids will be singing it all around the house once they get it in there sweet little heads. Never mind that I don't want to picture these guys having sex. Thank the Goddesses for TiVo
I finally broke down. Correctly, we finally broke down and watched American Idol. Though we did watch last weeks results show, though that was more for Bon Jovi as opposed to seeing who was going to get kicked off. I will say, if this is all we have left as the finalists for American Idol, Whitney Houston, we have a problem.
Melinda is still good, but at least tonight was not mind blowing. You can just tell the judges want to draw out some pop from her and I am not sure she can do it.
Jordin is the one who has the most upside potentially. Her first performance was good, her second not so much. She should be one of the final two.
LaKisha? She has talent, but I just don't think she can carry it off. And I am not sure she could get through an entire concert performance without collapsing.

Yet, the TiVo is set for tomorrow nights results show, because I want to see if I am right. Though the only way to watch Idol is to TiVo it, you skip so much of the awful filler.
Call me silly, but I am quite excited and intrigued about tonights episode of Grey's Anatomy. Truthfully, I am always excited about this show, everyday I try and figure out how long until the new episode will be on.
So tonight is shaping up to be one of those "very special" episodes. I know I audibly gasped last week as soon as I saw Kyle Chandler at the end of the show. I think he is a terrific actor, check out Friday Night Lights sometime, and the fact that they got him to be on a show on a competing network may not have been the best news for Meredith. Plus, I think that maybe why the producers keep giving Isaiah Washington chance after chance. They dont want to shake up the chemistry that much in quick order.
So, while I am leaning towards 80/20 that Meredith will survive, I will not be stunned if she does not make it. I know others watch this show, what are your thoughts? Well duh, by the way, its one of the number one shows on TV.

So, sometimes, TiVo is not the best thing going, because in the old days if there were two good shows on during one night, you could go back and watch the reruns of the second best show on at that hour. You know, its new to you. But now with TiVo, you can catch those other shows when they are on the first time. Which is great, because there is a wealth of shows to watch up until Novemember. But, once the holidays come around, the shows really dry up. Hence, we were very very excited about the fact that a new episode of Shark was on last night. Or we might have been staring at each other, or worse, Mrs Duck might have gotten control of the clicker and had us flipping between HGTV and DIY. Joy
