Idol Benefit

Especially when the first 3 participants are so darned young, they were born in 1987. You do get to hear some old songs that you forgot about. I will have to agree with Simon on performance #2, Jason Casto's strumming sounded like something you hear on Septa, especially in comparison.

Did I miss a good week? I was going over a new 401(k) plan with corporate during the show... ;-( This season isn't impressing me much - how 'bout you Sparky?

Gotta go with David Cook and Michael Johns tonight. David seems to be able to come up with something new and awesome every week. Michael stepped up as a showman for sure tonight as well. I have to agree with Cowell from a few weeks back that as long as this remains a talent contest and not a popularity contest, Cook should win.

As for the others... I'm tired of Carly, she's never done anything for me. Archuletta and Castro will only survive thanks to the teen vote. Archuletta is perhaps more talented, but neither one has shown any range in style or performance.

The rest kinda blur into the background perhaps with the exception of Brook's stylings on her songs, but I can't see her going all the way. It should be one of the rock guys this year (if the world is fair and just).

I like Jason, but I kinda spaced out his singing tonight which is NOT a good sign since I was sitting on the couch for the whole show.

David Cook I LOVED.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, for the fans of music from the 1980's....

they post a different 80s video every day and sometimes more than one, and they take requests for Long Distance Dedication Fridays. :)

Tug-I only started watching last week, we usually pick it up around the 10 finalists, so I have to say this week was much better than last.

Starr-I think Simon hit Castro on the head with his review.

Val-Carly is good, not great. Archuletta is very good, his performance last night was stale. I would think the bottom 3 will be the first 3 performers and/or perhaps the Australian guy.

Never mind that - when's the basketball start? :)

'Nova-Kansas baby.

Hey Anthony! The Phils are UNDEFEATED this year! I had to say this because a friend posted yesterday that his BoSox were well on their way to 162-0, but then they lost today. :)

valtool: I liked BoSox fans a lot more when they were rooting for a loser. Now, they think they invented the game.
I'm slightly concerned about the Phillies this season.
