Mrs Duck:Where did he finish in Iowa?

Sparky:Who?

MD:Romney

I used to agree with Mrs. Duck, and intellectually I still do, but I found myself feeling sorry for Romney last night. That GOP debate was very unpleasant to watch. They all hate him, and I found myself wanting to comfort him with a hug or maybe a warm chocolate chip cookie. Perhaps because there were fewer Democratic candidates participating, or maybe because I'm more familiar with them and knew what to expect, but I didn't get as hostile a vibe from the Dems.

Which is not to say Romney doesn't leave me feeling skin crawly. I bet there are a LOT of Massachusetts voters who are surprised to learn that they elected an anti-choice, anti-gay conservative.

Between this and the PUTZ comment, I must say that Mrs. Duck has an awesomely candid way with words - LOL!!

Yikes! What has he done to deserve that kind of wrath? Has she met him in real life? Is it just pointless vulgarity?

I haven't yet found a Democrat or Republican that didn't make me want to roll my eyes, but I have to agree: beyond even the issues or substance, Romney makes my skin crawl. From moment one I thought he was too slick, although back then I couldn't even say why. After hearing him I now want to commit murder. I never thought I would loathe a candidate as much as I do Hillary Clinton, but Romney comes close. Thank the Light those two seem to be waning. (Actually, I will never count Hillary out, up to and including after the election, and this presumes she doesn't get the nomination, but most seem to think Romney will be Howard Deaned by Michigan, and that can't but be a good thing.)

Mrs Duck should read my comment on Matt's blog regarding Mitt. I LOATHE him. I have a need to bath with steel wool reaction just looking at him. Remember that Chris Rock bit about how Tito Jackson's Jeri Curl was so shiny and greasy it would mess up his tv whenever he was on it? That is Mitt for me.

Lol! You guys should tape these conversations and post 'em on You Tube or something. Or a reality show: Sparks and the Mrs: Decision '08! Does Mrs. Duck have a blog of her own? If she doesn't, she should. Amen, MD. Mitt don't fit.

LOL. Mrs. Duck is a woman after my own heart. I don't really hate any of them. I'm just more sad and apathetic because no matter who gets elected, rep or dem, is still going to screw things up.
