Philadelphia Wedding Reviews-Rober Fair Caterers

As the weather here gets warmer, and good god it was 80 degrees here today, there are a few things that always pop up as spring comes along. The birds return, my allergies pick up, and Its Wedding Season! So, as a public service to those of the Delaware Valley, I am posting vendor reviews that Mrs Duck created for The Knot. Some editing has been done, just to protect our anonmity or however you spell that. And now, Mrs Duck, take it away...

Robert Fair Caterers:

I cannot say enough about my Caterers. They were extremely professional. Everything was set-up and ready to go on time. The food was awesome, and there servers were efficient and also friendly. We were expecting rain right before the start of our Ceremony and we really insisted that the ceremony be set-up outside. They set-up in a blink and there attention to detail was remarkable. Everything looked exactly the way I wanted and nothing was missed. Terry Fair was wonderful; I would recommend anyone using them insist on having her at your wedding. She knows exactly what she is doing! Terry was able to take charge and paid special attention to Sparky and I during cocktail hour, announcements, dinner, and cake cutting. We had a sit down dinner and some of our guests decided to move chairs and which left one too many people (12 people at a 10 place setting table) at one table. For a sit down this makes serving a nightmare, but it was not a problem for Robert Fair. I highly recommend Robert Fair Caterers, they are professional, efficient and the food was delicious. Especially the Appetizers!

It's warming up here in Canada, too -- aside from the allergies, doesn't it make everything seem happier!? Everyone's smiling. Loves it!

Surprised to see someone so happy with Terri of Fair Catering. They made our wedding a disaster so much so that Cairnwood offered us a free rental and apologized for their behavior. Terri never showed up at our wedding, the stafrf was extremely rude to our guests, a table collapsed on some guests who got soaking wet and they did not apologize and acted as if the guests were to fault for their mistake. They did not have the correct food ordered and some guests had to tkek what they had left. Reception was over at 9:30 and they were clearing the tables at 8:00. We had to set up the candles and centerpieces which Terri said she takes care of but since she did not show up for the wedding the mothers of the bride and groom had to do this, which meant they were running late and did not get the pictures with their children before the wedding. We are still hearing complaints from our guests as to the rudeness of this caterer. I would not recommend them to anyone and as long as Cairnwood continues to have them as a prefered caterer which they were trying to remove them, I cannot recommend Cairnwood to anyone for their venue either. This was such an important day to our children and because Terri made a mistake and did not order chairs she threw a hissy fit and did not show up for this very important day in which we gave them all of our trust. We still have not received an apology from them. Cairnwood requested that they refunded some of our money, that is how bad the day went, but to this date nothing has been returned other than the reimbursement for the silver bells (4" bells) that they threw away, that our guests were to take home as a favor. I could not and would never recommend this caterer and if you decide to hire them, GOOD LUCK
