You find songs in the strangest places-Sugarland

Mrs Duck and I went out to dinner at our favorite steak place Friday night. And while we are finishing up our excellent Longhorn dinner, this song blared over the speakers. I had never heard it before, though Jennifer Nettles has such a distinct voice, you knew it was Sugarland. And it was beautiful.

Hmmm...a could have used a warning that it was country music. I don't know Sugarland, and I don't do country.

I never quite figured you for a country boy; last I remember it was Christina Agulera. It's good to see you expand your horizons ;). (PS...I've returned to Blogger-land thanks to a very inspiring friend I made on Facebook. And I missed you old friend. Find me on cloudsinmycoffee-bysas.blogspot.com)

We were driving home from church today and had that same basic conversation. She has a very distinctive voice. For something different, check the collaboration she did with Bon Jovi "You Can't Go Home"

Haha, glad you found that in a steak house.

She does have a lovely voice. I am picky on country and tend to lean to the more alt country/tradional country. Except for Shania. I love Shania=)

In an effort to escape Facebook's (and now Twitter's) pernicious grasp, I am making an effort to re-connect with my favorite daily reads, which includes the FireDuck.

Of course, while not mathematically implied by the premise, it would certainly make my job easier if the people I read daily were to actually post...you know...daily.

Thus, as a favor to a friend who really ought to be writing, as a public service to your many fans who are no doubt living lives of quiet(er) desperation since your hiatus, and mostly to me, the dude demanding things, I plan on leaving daily comments until I get my wish. Or you kill me.

Either way, if I only show up to read my previous comments, that's what I'll be doing.

MORE SPARKY DUCK!!!!!!!
