And with news like this, and the Colorado shooting, and the high murder rate in Philadelphia, and the smoking ban, and the Phillies playoff drive, I can understand why we never hear about Iraq on our local news.

Yes, local news is mostly fluff and sports. Even weather gets top bill. For now, the Phils playoff drive seems to be in neutral. They're running out of time, and it's raining in D.C.
If they don't win tonight, 2 out with 3 to play is a tough spot.
