Thursday Thirteen #38-The Oahu One

Thirteen Pictures from Oahu

First, a real quick plug, if you have not read it yet, scroll down two posts to see a entry done by Mrs Duck. I am trying to get her to write on this blog some more and she finally did a post, and I want to be sure it gets shared.

Ok, commercial break over. One year ago this week, we were living it up in Hawaii. I took so many great pictures, though it was close to impossible not to take a good picture. Being the smart blogger that I am, I figure I can share 13 pictures from Oahu and still have a few posts left over from the rest of the trip. So, 13 pictures from our stay in Waikiki.

1.Oahu 1
Diamond Head

2.oahu 2
yep, more Diamond Head

3.oahu 3
I think Tug has this one on her blog.

4.oahu 4
Even the rain clouds are pretty over Honolulu.

5.Oahu 5
They are like happy little ants down there.

6.Oahu 6
Are these Otters or Sea Lions? Anyone? Bueller?

7.Oahu 7
Sometimes, Dolphins move way too fast to get a good shot of them.

8.oahu 8
It is no wonder that they shoot Lost around the Islands.

9.Oahu 9
The Royal Hawaiian, where we stayed. And yes, it is pink.

10.Oahu 10
See, more proof it's pink.

11.Oahu 11
A very very old Coconut Tree

12.Oahu 12
Everyone says Mai Tais are the best drinks on Oahu, I vote for Lava Flows and Mojitos myself.

Goodnight Waikiki, Goodnight Thursday Thirteen.

Now there is a part of me that thinks I have done this list before, but Goddess who cares, look how pretty it is.

  1. Wow...what beautiful pics. I would love to visit Hawaii, let alone live there. It's always very high up on the list of things I would do if I won the lottery.

My TT is up...and lonely...so come on over already!

  5. So beautiful!! And they are otters - sea lions "I think" are the older males, but I'm not totally sure, but I do know the small ones are seals or otters.

Excuse me while I wipe my tears. I am so sad that I am not there right now. I would love to go there someday.

  9. Number 5 almost had me wiping my eyes, too. I can't wait until that mythical, mystical someday when my children will be old enough, and we'll have enough money, for a Hawaii vacation.

  18. I would love to visit there someday. I love the picture of the rain clouds. And in my opinion I would guess sea lions. Look too big to be otters.

  25. gorgeous pics. I have a soft spot for Hawaii ever since my husband and I got enganged over the phone while he was stationed there shortly after he'd been home on leave. I've heard an awful lot about it but have never gotten any closer than a photograph.

thanx for visiting my tt tribute to my husband's grandma who passed on Tuesday.

Yes we can.
