Lovely picture.. they deserve to be remmbered and it shouldn't be viewed as a depressing post. May we celebrate their lives and hopefully their friends and loved ones feel their presence.

While I ache for every name on this list, I also ache for all the nameless people who are gunned down every single day on the other side of the big pond.

ReplyDeleteIt really hits home when I see the names of all the victims written down. It makes you think about where they were from, what their life stories were, what future they would be missing out on. It makes me sad but it's important to remember them.

ReplyDeletePart of what makes it really awful for me is the thought of how many really brilliant minds were taken from the world. Not just potential; a lot of these students and professors were really making an impact -- for the better -- in the world.
ReplyDeleteI hope that twice as many people step up to the plate and not fill the shoes of our lost ones, but carry their work to greater heights.

ReplyDeleteA surprising number of people from New Jersey attend VT. I can see why. The campus is so beautiful, and it's just far enough away that kids feel like they're leaving home, yet close enough that they can come home for holidays and breaks.

ryan clark was from Evans,GA......he graduated from lakeside high school.....
ReplyDelete(i have no idea why i put my email address on the linky.) i didn't do a tt this week, but i appreciate your listing the names of the people who lost their lives this week in that horrendous event so we can remember them and honor their lives. i just cannot get over how horrific this all is.
