  1. It's more than 13, but I don't mind. It's reality...depressing, disturbing, and at times down right confusing about such an atrocity. Come see my latest posts on it.

    My TT is posted too!

  7. Lovely picture.. they deserve to be remmbered and it shouldn't be viewed as a depressing post. May we celebrate their lives and hopefully their friends and loved ones feel their presence.

    Nice tribute Sparky...

  8. While I ache for every name on this list, I also ache for all the nameless people who are gunned down every single day on the other side of the big pond.

  11. This all breaks my heart. All those lives brutally cut short. Lately there's been too much violence and hatred for me to handle.

Hugs darlin', for writing their names and sharing them with us all.

It really hits home when I see the names of all the victims written down. It makes you think about where they were from, what their life stories were, what future they would be missing out on. It makes me sad but it's important to remember them.

  15. Part of what makes it really awful for me is the thought of how many really brilliant minds were taken from the world. Not just potential; a lot of these students and professors were really making an impact -- for the better -- in the world.

I hope that twice as many people step up to the plate and not fill the shoes of our lost ones, but carry their work to greater heights.

  16. A surprising number of people from New Jersey attend VT. I can see why. The campus is so beautiful, and it's just far enough away that kids feel like they're leaving home, yet close enough that they can come home for holidays and breaks.
Not to mention the first class education and the sports.

Top five home states of out-of-state freshmen:

    1. Maryland, 386 students

    2. New Jersey, 190

    3. Pennsylvania, 188
